PROBLEM!?

We have a little problem....

We had finished filming and almost completed the editing when we asked Josh for his audience opinion of our piece. The response was not very good at all so we called in Mrs Bannon to help and a few other class memebers.

From their response we have decided to re-shot our footage over easter which leaves only 4 lessons to complete the editing!!

The trouble was, the images did not link together or fit our narrative the way we had oringinally planned. Furthermore, Gloria (our actress) is wearing different clothes in the 2 scenes, something we thougth would not matter as much as it does.

So we have A LOT to do over easter.....wooooo!!

Idea-x-

We have our first idea, tell us what you think...

- A group of friends are playing Blinds-mans-bluff in a brigtly lit room. The main charcter is the one blind-folded.
- A quick cut shows cross-cutting between the game and a black and white image of the same girl blind-folded in a locked, cramped and darkened room.
- There are liks between the 'happy image' of the girl smiling reaching out totry and feel her way around the room and the opposite image of the girl reaching out in fear of what she will touch.

thats all we have so far, doesnt really sound much but comment anyway!!!

The openeing of Enduring Love consists of a couple having a seemingly romantic picnic in a field when things start to go wrong and their lives are changed forever. The sound is limited with no background music and small sounds emphasized similar to the openeing of Memento giving the film a tense and fearful atmosphere. The lack of sound also makes the important action that follows more shocking for the audience. This is the only example i could find and it's in french! But it shows the technique of emphasized sounds over silence which we could use in our thriller prodjects.
